Age: 25 - Old enough to remember floppy disks and cassette tapes (I have older sisters), young enough to live through 2 (3? too many!) financial crises and not afford my own yard in the country I was born and raised in (stuck with parents gang πππ)
Ethnicity: Brown innitt
Location: London, United Kingdom (you can infer from the many innitts)
Relationship: Single and ready to mingle (ladies π)
Occupation: PhD student (ladies π, although I guess only brown parents are interested in that π). I also have experience as an analyst (very dark times).
Interests & hobbies:
- Martial arts (Muay Thai and Kali, can't say I watch any martial arts though)
- Reading - I used to read a lot when I was younger, I'm trying to get back into that again. I alternate between fiction and non-fiction. Sometimes the stuff I read gets a bit spicy π (ladies π)
- Technology - not any more! Most tech these days is no longer exciting, except for maybe eink. Most technological and digital products in this day and age are spyware and actively breach your privacy to harvest your data. Phones used to be cool, now they're a distraction and a spying tool that I keep several rooms away from me. AND THEY'RE TOO BLOODY BIG!
Things I would like to pick up/learn:
- DIY - it would be cool to know how to make and repair objects. Sewing too. I sewed a strap back on to my stick bag π. Leather crafting sounds mad cool too.
- Writing - I enjoy reading, so maybe I should start to write? I try to journal, and I do some academic writing because I'm a PhD student whose incredibly smart and perfectly capable (is what I tell myself every morning I wake up with tears in my eyes). I have not done any creative writing since my english language exam in 2017, which is frankly terrible!
- Drawing - learning to draw at the very least simple 2D and 3D shapes would allow me to convey some ideas and concepts, like crystallography (don't ask me about crystal structures, at least not yet)
I hope I sound interesting :D
